Scene: 1
Alessandro really has them on the ropes. MC uses Luigi Vampa to start executing a land war in italy against Alessandros convoys across land.
Smugglers dodge Gendarmes and hide out. Includes the Use of the Isle of Monte Cristo.
MC sets out to finally use his assets in place through out the Gendarme network to pin down who is providing the information on the location of smuggler vessels.
MC starts feeding his own information into the mix and confusing the authorities completely. This nearly ends in war when an italian vessel opens fire on a french vessel carrying Diplomatic passangers to the Italian states and Rome. MC steps in a quells the situation with which he gains great respect with the pope and is granted an audience to recieve certain awards from his holiness.
The Smugglers War the Tide turns
Through his manipulation and use of North African Pirates to hit at Alessandros vessels, he starts to use the gendarmes to weed out Alessandro's smuggling vessels and begins returning his smugglers to the sea but only with honest cargos to begin with.
Luigi Vampa steps up his war and it takes all of MC's influence to save Luigi from execution when caught in one of Alessandro's traps.
This leaves Luigi Vampa deeply indebted to MC.
But eventually MC has Alessandro on the ropes and the two call a truce. - (rounded up in) The Smugglers War the Tide turns
Scene: 2
In this scene we hear about MC escaping and the plans for the coming future to get MC to take on Alessandro. It is in this scene that Tjanja gives Cocco her marching orders.
FUTURE IDEAS : It is Cocco (almost identical looking to Tjanja) who first meets MC in Tunisia and the two have an affair. But he later reveals it's because he is still in love with Tjanja. It is during problems with the retreival of Haydee from the Hareem that Cocco is caught and is put in prison for the theft. she is then executed to Tjanja's horror. MC is powerless to do anything, Ali's heart is broken also at the loss of the woman who had become his lover after the end of her relationship with MC.
Scene: 3
Cocco (Clara Zucco) Retrieves MC from the Dessert where he has been found and saved by desert beddoin. They have informed Tjanja through her contacts of finding an escaped man that they are sure has come from 'the prison' and want payment. She and Zucco (cocco) go and collect him.
